The Cheshire Cat Sportive

On Sunday 27th March 3 of Orion’s staff took part in the Cheshire Cat Sportive Cycle Event.
This was an 83 Km ride around the Cheshire countryside taking in a few hills for good measure.
Over 600 people took part in the 83 Km (50 mile) ride and overall with a 130 Km (80 mile) and 174 Km (100 mile) rides the entries topped up to around 1,500 in total.
The Orion team finished in very credible positions:
Machine Manager Scott Brown 135th / 639 time: 3 hrs : 39 mins
Machine Manager Andy Good 162nd / 639 time: 3 hrs : 44 mins
Sales manager Paul Neal 225th / 639 time: 3 hrs : 56 mins
This this was the first time any of the staff had competed in an event of this distance, so watch this space as Scott and Andy are soon to undertake a sponsored ride from London to Paris.
This will be over 3 days with a total of 220 miles and is something of an epic feat in aid of a local charity.
